When I was in college majoring in Architecture, I also majored in Fine Arts. I was soooo done with college when I graduated with my degree in Architecture, out of money, and with two little baby girls in tow, I decided not to not finish my second degree in Fine Arts. BUT, thankfully, doing what I do today, I still have the joys of seeing artistic forms, texture and details out in the field and in my office. Here is a common, but for me, super cool looking construction detail at my project at Rock Creek’s Ridge at Sun Up Bay. It is a simple foundation, with the rebar being prepped for the concrete pier, that will eventually be wrapped in stone and carry a beautiful 12×12 timber post, in a whole series of timber posts. That’s neat.
